COFFEE SERVICES
at the
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Santa Maria Public Airport District (“District”) is requesting individual/firms to submit a statement of proposal (statements) to provide and manage a coffee service at the terminal building at the Santa Maria Public Airport District. The service can be a mobile unit with the ability to be self-contained. The tenant will be responsible for securing the unit and/or equipment. The minimum hours of service will be from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m (noon) daily. The unit or equipment will be located in the alcove adjacent to the hold room (see attached exhibit for dimensions). Water and electricity are available at the site. The menu should include only coffee and related breakfast items.
The District will accept
statements, clearly marked “STATEMENT OF PROPOSAL FOR COFFEE
SERVICES AT THE SANTA MARIA AIRPORT” until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April
30th, 2008 in the office of the General Manager, Santa Maria
Public Airport District,
The District will select the best-qualified individual/firm by employing
the criteria below (not listed in priority order) to evaluate the merits of
each response.
Ř Similar Experience with coffee shops/carts.
Ř Type of service provided.
Ř Proposed menu.
Ř Proposed tenant improvements.
Ř Proposed rent.
Ř Any other factors the District deems relevant.
A selection panel will review all statements to make a determination of
the individual/firm that will best meet the District’s needs.
The statement should include qualifications and current relevant experience. Additionally, please provide names and telephone number of individuals the District may wish to contact for further information.
All required business and health permits are the responsibility of the bidder.
The District will evaluate all pertinent information and select the individual/firm with which it will work from those firms submitting statements prior to the deadline. The District reserves the right to contact you for more information, including a detailed interview, in order to fairly evaluate your qualifications to perform the work or to resolve questions that may arise during the evaluation process.
The firm whose statement is selected by the District will be contacted for the purpose of entering into negotiations with the District for a possible written agreement. The statement selected and the District’s requirements will be the basis for negotiations. There can be no assurance that such negotiations will result in a finalized agreement. The District and submitter will not be obligated in any way unless and until a written agreement is entered into and executed by the parties. Final service costs will be determined through negotiations with the firm selected.
If negotiations with the statement first selected are not successful, negotiations may be initiated with the statement given second preference. This procedure may be continued with the other submitters in sequence of ranking selected by the District until a mutually satisfactory agreement has been negotiated. The District reserves the right to reject any or all submittals and assumes no obligation in the solicitation of this statement of interest and qualifications.
