The Santa Maria Public Airport District (District) has taken possession of building space previously leased to the Transportation Security Administration. The Transportation Security Administration has relocated its business on the Airport. The Transportation Security Administration has released the buildings on the Santa Maria Public Airport District from further occupancy thereby permitting the District to take possession and enter into agreements for lease.
The District is now soliciting proposals from interested
parties for the Terminal Building Space,
The District will evaluate all pertinent information and rank the responses. The District reserves the right to contact any proposer for information, including a detailed interview, in order to determine which proposal(s) are in the best interest of the District. To make this determination, the District will employ the criteria listed below (not necessarily listed in priority order) to evaluate the merits of each response, as well as other criteria that the District may determine to be relevant throughout the selection process.
The proposer rated highest by the District will be contacted for the purpose of entering into negotiations with the District for a possible written agreement. There can be no assurance that such negotiations will result in a finalized agreement. The District and the proposer will not be obligated in any way, unless and until a written agreement is entered into and executed by the parties.
If negotiations with the proposer first selected are not successful, negotiations may be initiated with the proposer given second preference. This procedure may be continued with the other proposers in sequence of ranking selected by the District until a mutually satisfactory agreement has been negotiated. The District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive informalities in any proposal, and assumes no obligation in this solicitation. The District reserves the right to negotiate with any proposer, or to change the procedure if District determines it is in District's best interest to do so.
